Day of haul out is not charged as a lay day. Sunday is considered a lay day once the repair is complete.
No lay days when sole work being performed is that by the yard. If there is coincident DIY work then relevant charges apply.
The customer has three (3) calendar days once notified of work completion to pick-up their boat. Lay Day charges of $1.00 per foot per day will start to accrue cumulatively on the fourth day and will include the previous 3 days that would have been complimentary if the boat had been removed. So on day 4 a 50' boat will owe $200 for an uncovered space. Weekend days are included in the accrual as we maintain the ability to release boats on the weekend.
Any partial day will be charged as a full day as a function of the inability to exactly schedule new replacements given completed boat presence in our facility.
We will remain in communication on the progress of the work completion. We will provide an estimate of completion date at the time of the work estimate and communicate an update to that estimate no later than 24 hours prior to completion. We will always remain receptive to understanding the occurrence of a special situation and trying to accommodate the needs.
Mobile Work Order Policy
There is a two hour minimum on any mobile labor (beyond the Delta Marine yard). The following are the terms and conditions of this mobile work:
We will always remain receptive to understanding the occurrence of a special situation and trying to accommodate the need.
Estimate Policy
Estimates will be provided for all work orders on a best efforts basis. Due to the imperfect nature of this process in the marine industry, given the occurrence of unforeseen circumstances once a job has initiated, provisions need to be implemented to address this. The invoice for the work order and any subsequent modifications will reflect the estimate when actual time and materials for the completed job are within 20% of the estimate.
When the actual cumulative costs exceed 120% of the estimate, then the in voice will reflect the estimate at 100% plus the incremental time and materials. It will be incumbent upon Delta Marine to notify the boat owner within 48 hours of recognition of this change in total invoice and receive written approval to proceed. This estimate process is further enhanced by the use of customer communication cloud system that tracks workorder progress and uploads pictures of the project status
Sourced Parts Policy
Any part required for a Delta Marine work order or for a DIY/BYOC project will be sourced by Delta Marine YachtCenter.
